Here I have a matching set of Fullerton era AVRI 57 62 Fender Stratocaster pickups. These are complete with original pickup covers, strings and the original masking tape is still in place. Untouched deep purple/almost black winding.

These are period correct for the latter part of 1982 to late 1984 as found on the 57 and 62 reissues.

The black bobbins are in my opinion the finest pickups (Red and Grey bobbins are also great) Fender made during the short lived Fullerton era in the early 80s. These are most closer in terms of sound to the pre CBS black bobbin pickups. They stay full, deep and thick sounding without any fizz or metallic tones you get from the CBS era.
