Vintage Offset Collection
Below you will find a documented log of true, original and note worthy vintage offset Fender guitars from the golden era. These guitars either below to myself, have belonged to me, to collector friends or new friends through this website.
1962 Fender Jaguar: Serial number 69006

From my private collection. This is (as far as I've seen), the earliest serial number to be put on a Fender Jaguar. It is all original and has all the early features of a Fender Jaguar (see my post on Authentication HQ for details). A spectacular collector grade piece.
1964 Fender Jaguar, Black. Serial number L55086

This spectacular example belongs to a good friend of mine, Paul at gringopig.com.
This is a late, 1964 Fender Jaguar in factory original black. This is the very guitar that features in the wonderful book "Fender The Golden Age" where it is incorrectly described as a 1965 model.
1964 Fender Jaguar, Surf Green. Serial number L21739

This was in my private collection for a while but I sold it due to the finish flaking. To date, this is the only true, pre-CBS Fender jaguar in Surf Green. This piece used to hang on the walls of the Song Bird Museum in the US, which is where I purchased it from. A wonderful and rare Fender Jaguar. The next one that shows up in cleaner condition will remain in my private collection.
1964 Fender Jaguar, Burgundy Mist Metallic.
Serial number: L34316

This rare 1964 Fender Jaguar was in my private collection for quite a while. Burgundy Mist is one of those custom colours that in my opinion isn't universal popular but I think its cool, and this one was probably the world's finest example. I sold this one to Well Strung Guitars.
1962 Fender Jazzmaster, Burgundy Mist Metallic.
Serial number: 80XXX

This rare slab board Fender Jazzmaster was in my private collection. This one came from a good friend of mine, Justin Harrison that owns Denmark Street Guitars. I sold this one to Well Strung Guitars.
1964 Fender Jaguar, Dakota Red

This fine example of a rare custom colour Fender Jaguar is one of the finest I've played. With a big feeling neck and powerful and balanced pickups, I doubt you will find a better example of a pre-CBS Dakota Red Fender Jaguar.
1964 Fender Jazzmaster, Sonic Blue.

The world's finest example of a pre-CBS Sonic Blue Fender Jazzmaster. This piece is 100% original and comes from that very small window in 1964 when Fender used Mustang Blue as a base-coat for Sonic Blue. The finest offset Fender that I have ever played or owned.
1962 Fender Jazzmaster, Dakota Red.

This fine specimen has had one original owner from new and I purchased this one in 2025. This is a late 1962 Dakota Red over Desert Sand without clearcoat, and it has retained its original Dakota Red with no fading. A fine, fully original example .
